Yvette Craig

Yvette L. Craig is a communications professional. She spent the first 15 years as a newspaper journalist who covered crime and law enforcement, city government, education, and the homeless across the nation. She moved to Madison in 2019 to lead the state’s oldest publication UMOJA Magazine as its publisher and editor for nearly five years. Yvette’s leadership, communications, and community engagement skills are currently underway at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the School of Medicine and Public Health. A Milwaukee native with a BA in journalism from Marquette University, she serves as BPDADA’s assistant secretary.
